Police State New Jersey Training Police

Are you talking about attorney's fees plus court costs? Filing fee, alone, have to be way less than that if you do it yourself.

Furry Potato Shooting – Guard Charge Evaluation Sheet

You keep talking about laws and cases, but all you have done is tell people they are idiots for asking what laws or cases you are referring to. Please name a case that is similar to this where charges were dropped on negligent discharge because the victim was filming. Remember part of the...

You Will be Assimilated. Resistance is Futile. Or not!: United States v. Waites

Yes, that's exactly what I've been saying. I do believe that it would hold for other 9th Circuit states, but of course, we don't know for sure.

Auditor Equipment Buy and Sell Marketplace

This would be a good forum for auditors and would-be auditors to sell and/or buy equipment. Have you thought of a adding a Marketplace section?

HATETHESTATE / SO THEY CALL IT FREEDOM

That's what I've been saying except for the "understanding their motivations" part. What happens between Ian and the police or citizens is self-evident. I don't need to see inside his head to witness the reactions he receives. Yes, of course, the weasel government forces do not like what he is...

Posting Criminal Histories? What's the Point?

You guys have a far different attitude about the Constitution than I do. You think the public can vote away our rights. But all the examples above were from sensitive government workers trying to get local statutes changed because they are afraid of cameras. I understand not everyone can fight...

Posting Criminal Histories? What's the Point?

Lol. I tried to click the link at the bottom that said "report" but nothing came up.

    Turner v Driver 2017-02-27

Exactly. It illustrates my point that the key issue is whether the activity is "fundamentally incompatible" with the use of the public space. Soliciting was ruled to be incompatible, whereas leafletting was not.

Brown v. Louisiana, 383 US 131 - Supreme Court 1966 Brown v. Louisiana, 383 US 131 - Supreme Court 1966 - Google Scholar Paragraph 147 Brennan's concurrence: "The danger posed by the Louisiana courts' definition of "breach of the peace"—that it might sweep within its broad scope activities...

    Turner v Driver 2017-02-27

There is nothing in the case law that states public property fit for expressive activity has to be outside. You seem to be equating "traditional public forum" with only including sidewalks, streets, parks, etc., however other public places, including inside, are not-exempted. What good would the...

    Turner v Driver 2017-02-27

Grayned also goes into discussing what constitutes an actual breach of the peace or disruptive activity, something people use against auditors all the time.

    Turner v Driver 2017-02-27

You didn't read Paragraphs 1198 - 2002 of Grace v. Burger. It lists at least two important cases where the activity occurred inside public buildings -- one was a sit-in protest at a public library and another was in a public school.

Here it is! Grace v. Burger, 665 F. 2d 1193 - Court of Appeals, Dist. of Columbia Circuit 1981 Grace v. Burger, 665 F. 2d 1193 - Court of Appeals, Dist. of Columbia Circuit 1981 - Google Scholar Paragraphs 1198 - 2002 provide a great background of important cases pertaining to expressive...

Posting Criminal Histories? What's the Point?

I reckon a lot of the curators here have stepped outside the law, too, but you don't see them posting their own criminal backgrounds. What does a person's criminal background have to do with filming in public, anyway? If auditors are expecting public support, they can hold their breaths until...

HATETHESTATE / SO THEY CALL IT FREEDOM

Another nutty thing to say. You don't think Ian should be able to film in the Punta Gorda City Hall, right? So why would you care if they added a section to their municipal code that says he can't film there at all? You don't want him to anyway! All the hand-wringing of this crowd worrying about...

What "changes" are you hoping for?" The government respecting First Amendment Rights? That would be nice, and they can start with Ian.

I know, I know. But Adderley isn't the end of the story. I'm still looking for that other case.

Posting Criminal Histories? What's the Point?

That seems to be the cry from this crowd. To me, I don't care what the public thinks. We should not give up our rights because "the public" feels uncomfortable with what we are doing. That's why we have a Constitution, to prevent the government and the public from doing anything they want.

Furry Potato Shooting – Guard Charge Evaluation Sheet

Cassano sounds like a cop. They can twist the law anyway they want to make it fit their narrative.
